Our Team

We started Cut & Dry to have more freedom in our craft and when we saw an opportunity we did want to look back thinking “what if”. We are proud and pleased to be open in Grand Junction, Colorado. Women owned and operated by Kristen Raines and Maya Roberts. Together we bring over 20 years of industry experience and a commitment to exceptional service. Our passion is creating moments of joy for our clients through expert care and a genuine love for our craft.

Kristen Raines

Owner and Stylist

Kristen Raines is a barber stylist and lifelong artist with 16 years in the hair industry. From the moment she graduated barber school, her career started—working in a salon the same day—and has loved every step of it since.

Kristen is a master at stylish cuts for kids, and straight razor design shaves and fades but is well versed in all cuts and services. With 20+ years of customer service experience, she brings patience, confidence, and real care to every client.

Originally from Oklahoma City, she spent the first 28 years of her life there, then moved to Arizona for three years before following her parents to Colorado—where she’s excited to grow her business and deepen her community connections.

Maya Roberts

Maya is a stylist with about 9 years in the industry. After completing her education, she set out to expand her skills and gain real-world experience, working behind the chair in both Denver and Las Vegas.

These fast-paced, diverse salon environments allowed her to refine her technique, stay on top of trends, and build confidence working with a wide range of hair types and styles. Maya specializes in precision cuts, vivid and fashion colors, and blonding services, but she truly enjoys all aspects of hairstyling and loves helping clients feel their best.

Maya grew up in Gunnison, Colorado, and later attended school in Delta, where she earned her hairstyling license and began turning her love for hair into a career. Maya is excited to continue growing her business, connecting with the community, and welcoming new faces into her chair.
